Waste management is contracted to a local business. A disposal site is located at the east end of the settlement, where residents can drop off household waste. Household waste pick-up is also available for a small fee.
RECYCLING
Recyclables, including electronics, paint and tires, can be dropped off at the North Recycling Yard. A new pilot project also allows recycling of  audio visual equipment, telecom, cell phone and wireless devices, electronic gaming equipment, small home appliances, portable power tools, toys, musical instruments and solar panels.

North Recycling Yard Hours of Operation are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 8am – 5pm

Fishing Lake Métis Settlement is a member of Alberta CARE (Association of Alberta Coordinated Action for Recycling Enterprises), a non-profit organization that supports recycling and waste management activities at the community level.
