Oskâyiwiwin [Being Youthful]
Our community’s Parent Link Centre is also a place for young people to meet, relax, and participate
in group activities. Aside from a range of games and sports on-site we also offer
a variety of programs.
Early Intervention Program
Children 3 1/2 years old or younger who have problems with attention, movement, feeding, speech, hearing, behaviour or interacting with others can be assessed for common disorders and their parents can get one-to-one support and information. Learn more here.
Out of School Care
An after-school program for children aged 5 to 12 that provides a safe, supervised environment for children while their parents are at work. The program runs from 2:45 pm until 4:30 pm during the school day and from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Please register your child or children with the centre’s director by contacting them.
LCFASD Mothers To Be Mentor program
The Lakeland Centre for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders offers this free, non-judgemental one-to-one support program to assist women who may be at risk of using drugs or alcohol during pregnancy to have and raise healthy babies.
The Centre also works with outside agencies for other programs throughout the year. See the Calendar below for more information.
