General Terms:
Canadian Natural is committed to offering employment and business opportunities to individuals and service providers in Fishing Lake
Métis Settlement as well as the lands in 56-2, 57-01 and 57-02 known as the ‘Project Area’
Canadian Natural uses a merit-based approach to award work opportunities to ensure an open and equitable process. Interested
parties are encouraged to submit their proposal in writing
Successful candidate must be pre-qualified by Canadian Natural and be an Approved Vendor in Complyworks
Service providers must be in compliance with all Provincial & Federal Legislation and all Fishing Lake Métis Settlement Bylaws
Canadian Natural will assume the responsibility of Prime Contractor and all projects will be supervised by Canadian Natural
Service Providers must submit field tickets within 24hrs and invoices within 90 days of work completion. Delays will result in much
longer payment times or non-payment of invoices
Service Provider must provide rates for equipment
Project / Job Overview
Liner removal from secondary containment setups on 4 locations and wellsite equipment removal on 1 location. Interested parties should
contact CNRL for maps and/or detailed survey plans if required.
Estimated Timeframe for Project/Job (Subject to Change):
April – May 2024
Deadline for proposals (in writing is preferred): Noon, April 17, 2024
Project/Job Overview: Removal of secondary containment liners from Canadian Natural Leases and Wellsite Equipment Decommissioning
(A more detailed scope of work may be provided prior to start-up)
1. Maintain effective communication with CNRL Pipeline Abandonment Supervisor/ FLMS-CNRL Liaison
2. Blind/blank all equipment/piping on lease (LOTO)
3. Remove/clean product from vessels, low point drains, tanks and piping
4. Dismantle/Demo on lease equipment according to appropriate vendor provided procedure
5. Assess fines on liner for potential contamination and appropriate handling if so
6. Remove fines from liner using skid-steer or similar with bucket attachment
7. Hand cut liner into manageable segments in order to load into waste bin onsite (appropriate PPE required including cut-
resistant Kevlar glove or equivalent)
8. Troubleshoot equipment and related problems and perform minor repairs
9. Maintain daily log sheets and documentation as required by CNRL
10. Train FLMS workers as required/if possible
11. Valid Class 5 driver’s license

skid steer (shatterproof plexi-glass windshield required)
Safety Qualification
Daily Hazard Assessments and meet Canadian Natural compliance requirements
Fishing Lake Métis Settlement Safety requirements compliant
Annual training/refresher on best practices including testing/reporting/recording protocols
Service Provider must be in good standing on Canadian Natural Comply Works system
Inspection of Equipment

Additional Selection Criteria
Interested parties must describe their ability/plans to meet the following criteria. The following points may be considered in selecting the best
candidate.
Fishing Lake Métis Settlement Business License
– Service Provider must be in good standing with Fishing Lake Métis Settlement Council and possess a current, valid Fishing
Lake Métis Settlement Business License
Safety performance
– Service Provider must have active safety program including required employee certifications
Competency Program
– Demonstrate a competency program is in place and workers competent according to an assessment and validation process.
Provide benefit to Fishing Lake Métis Settlement community members
– Service Provider offering training opportunities for Fishing Lake Métis Settlement members
Quality Control
– Proof of Service Provider’s ability to perform, based on previous work or a detailed quality control plan
References
– Provide examples and references of previous projects
Invoicing/Accounting system. Ability to provide accurate invoices is required timeframe (90 days)
